THROUGH THE CENTRAL PART OF THE ISLAND OF KRK

From the Forum, the central town square in Krk, we head uphill towards the road to Punat. After 500 meters we reach the intersection and turn right. After 5.2 km we arrive in Sv. Donat, we pass the old Christian church and continue straight in the direction of Baška with a slightly steeper ascent, where at 6.8 km we turn left in the direction of Šilo - Vrbnik. At 9.7 km, we turn left from the main road onto a side road and pass through fields and pastures walled with old thunderbolts. At 13.6 km we turn right and we are 15.8 km below the village of Gaica, towards which we turn right. At the entrance to Garica, we turn left, and after leaving the village, we continue straight in the direction of Krk. Just before exiting the Omišalj - Krk road, at 24.3 km, turn left in the direction of Kornić. We reach the village of Lakmartin (26.2 km), where we turn left at 26.4 km and reach Muraj (27.2 km). In Muraj, at 27.5 km, we turn left in the direction of Kornić, which we reach at 28.3 km. From Kornić we descend steeply to Sv. Dunata (29.9 km) and return to the starting point (34.4 km) on the same road we came from Krk.
